I don’t mean you should sleep all day and expect to be carried everywhere!
It fascinates me that we treat ourselves so well when pregnant for the sake of our baby and don’t always do that for ourselves. We treat precious children with such tenderness and care, healthy food, lots of sleep, time to play, a pure environment, encouraging their individual talents and interests, allow them to shine as the beautiful individual beings that they are… why not do that for ourselves, always?
2012 is a year when there are so many opportunities available to us, they’re there to enjoy, to take with open arms but we need to look after ourselves in order to do that. To truly look after ourselves means to be conscious of what we ingest on every level… food (pure organic food with little processing), water (the purest possible), joy (do what we absolutely love, what brings us joy), surrounding ourselves with people we love and who bring joy, listening to and watching only uplifting things… music, movies, TV, spending time in nature, spend time each day meditating and exercising. Also being conscious of the energies around us and the energies within. If there’s anger within or without, send it love – it will dissolve beautifully, if memories of a person or situation from the past keeps looming it’s ugly head and bringing negative feelings, forgive and let go…. the past doesn’t have to shape our present moment.
And as always, if you would like some help in shifting patterns, habits, blockages and giving your physical vehicle a boost, holler!
In the name of ‘treating ourselves like a newborn baby’, I’ll be blogging over the next few months about just that… after all Spring is upon us and it’s a fantastic time to re-stock, to take a look at the way we are treating ourselves and to make some changes, let some old habits and beliefs go and bring in some fresh new patterns so that we can make the most of this beautiful life. So keep an eye out for my ‘Spring Tips‘…. I promise they’ll be easy to implement and will make the world of difference.
